Sun Salute Yoga, Making Their Mark in Western Australia & Beyond

Marc Potter, the name behind Sun Salute Yoga, is 50 years old, yet it seems that it was only yesterday he was talking of establishing yoga in WA, when he was in his early 30s. At a time when many Australians had no clue about yoga, he was practicing and meditating on his voyage of discovery.

Yoga Essentials

Sun Salute Yoga, the school established by Marc Potter over 10 years ago was the result of his years of yoga practice and learning from other qualified masters in the subject. He realized that it may put off beginners, if learning all the rituals was physically or mentally challenging; therefore, he came up with his own brand of yoga which encompasses all the essentials, but also makes it more interesting and easy to learn.

Demystifying

Marc Potter’s vision and hope is to see more people, young and old enroll and learn this ancient art to better their inner self, at very reasonable rates. Timings have been adapted to suit the working or stay-at-home parents as well as school children, and senior citizens. Marc Potter has demystified yoga by readying sets of exercises using pranayama, asana, and meditation.

New Branches

This kind of individualistic approach of teaching yoga was revolutionary, but it helped Marc Potter and his school gets more and more newcomers into the practice, while bringing him personal fame. The success of the SunSalute Yoga School has made him think about opening new branches or even franchises in other major cities.
