Sun Salute Yoga School, Bringing Yoga to the Australian Public

Marc Potter could be mistaken for the quintessential Aussie bloke with his love of sports, swimming, surfing, diving, and horse riding, etc., but he is also the guy who has been promoting Yoga to Australians for over 20 years, when many people dismissed it as some form of Eastern mumbo jumbo.

Multifaceted

Early in life, Marc Potter discovered that meditation could help achieve great things, and he followed this path to find yoga, which he studied and adapted to make it easy for people to follow. However, before getting into yoga, he had a widely chequered career as a news video cameraman, photographer, graphic artist, and landscaper among others.

Yoga School

Currently, he has made his mark in the one thing that has been consistently in his heart, yoga and the Sun Salute Yoga School in Claremont, WA. Understanding and practicing yoga is not very easy, and that is exactly what Marc has done, by demystifying it and putting together a set of exercises using asana, pranayama and meditation to achieve their spiritual goal.

Best Practices

His teachings are now followed by practitioners who teach newcomers, who range from students to senior citizens, to the best practices of yoga. Yoga is a very complex subject and learning all aspects of it is very difficult. Marc Potter has done his bit to ensure that a newcomer is not overwhelmed by postures, teachings, meditation, and other exercises. He makes sure that they are well within the capability of each and every student.
